Grade 6 students took their knowledge of ratios and proportions to the lab today to collectively make a cheesecake. The students showed off their math skills to Elkhart Lake teachers who were observing our math resource Illustrative Mathematics. We love our district to district connections!

SFMS is thankful for Mrs. AP and her service. Today she shared some of her experiences with her classes and even let them try on some of her gear 🇺🇸

Friday ended with an all-school celebration: Student-staff volleyball and the Masked Dancer 🏐

Random Lake teachers visited our 5th grade classrooms today to observe our Bridges in Mathematics program. They are furthering their own knowledge on what this resource looks like and sounds like. Our fifth graders were more than happy to show off their reasoning skills and strategies during the problem string portion of the lesson.

REMINDER: Join us on Monday, November 11th, beginning at 9:25 AM to honor and celebrate the service of veterans and their families. The program will feature student speakers who will share readings on the sacrifices made by our veterans. In addition, the school's talented music students will perform patriotic selections. A guest speaker will also be present to address the audience, offering inspiring words of gratitude and remembrance. Following the program, the community is invited to observe a 21-gun salute outside of the building near the flag. This solemn tribute will serve as a fitting conclusion to the Veterans Day observance. Community members can enter the building through the front doors on the southwest corner of the High School beginning at 9:10 AM.
